Pullahari Retreat Center is pleased to announce that Mr. Sweeney is continuing his three-year cycle of Mahamudra teachings. Mahamudra Level II teachings will begin this summer. In addition there will be an opportunity for new students who wish to study with Mr Sweeney and enter into the Mahamudra Level I cycle.

Spring and summer programs will also include Milarepa Day, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche's Parinirvana day celebration, a Pullahari Spring Retreat, a Kyudo intensive with Shibata Sensei, and a celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the Parinirvana of the Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin.

Mahamudra Level I continues

Practice Intensive with teachings by Patrick Sweeney and Dr. Joseph Parent

This program is a continuation of the Mahamudra Level I course held at Pullahari in July 2009. You must have attended the program in July or have special permission in order to attend this weekend intensive.

Cost: $225 includes a $50 teaching gift for Mr. Sweeney and a $25 gift for Dr. Parent. (Housing at Pullahari is available at additional cost on a first registered first served basis)

Parinirvana of The Vidyadhara Chögyam Trunpga Rinpoche

Arrival Day: Saturday April 3, 2010

Departure Day: Sunday April 4, 2010

All who have a connection to the Vidyadhara Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin , the Satdharma mandala and/or Patrick Sweeney are invited to attend this annual celebration. Sessions will consist of practice, remembrances and readings from Trungpa Rinpoche's life stories and teachings.

Cost: $75 No teaching gift required. (Housing at Pullahari is available at additional cost on a first registered first served basis)

Pullahari Spring Retreat

Residents and staff of Pullahari Retreat Center will be in retreat during this time. Students participating in the Mahamudra Level I series are invited to come to Pullahari and participate in all or a portion of this intimate staff retreat.

Cost: $35 per day or portion of day plus housing.

This program marks the beginning of a new cycle of teachings by Mr. Sweeney.
This Level I program is open to new students that wish to study with Mr. Sweeney as well as the current Level I students who wish to attend. Mahamudra Level I encompasses the foundational perspectives and practices from the Hinayana and Mahayana as well as an introduction to the Mahamudra lineage. New students are welcome.

Cost: $495 Includes a $100 teaching gift for Mr. Sweeney and a $50 gift for Dr. Parent. (Housing at Pullahari is available at additional cost on a first registered first served basis)

Mahamudra Level II Part I

Transition day Sunday June 27, 2010

This program marks the beginning of a new cycle of teachings for Mr. Sweeney as the Level I students from 2009 progress to the Level II Mahamudra teachings. The pre-requisite for this program is that you must have attended the Level I retreat in July 2009 or have taken Vajrayana transmission with Mr. Sweeney, or have special permission.

Cost: $395.00 includes a $100 teaching gift for Mr. Sweeney and a $50 gift for Dr. Parent. (Housing at Pullahari is available at additional cost on a first registered first served basis)

Parinirvana of The Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin

Arrival day: Friday, August 20th, 2010

Parinirvana day: Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Departure day: Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Join us for this 7-day retreat celebrating the 20th Parinirvana of the Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin Mr. Sweeney and Lady Lila Rich will be in attendance as we celebrate the unique contributions of the first western lineage holder in the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. All students with a connection to The Vidyadhara Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin, the Satdharma mandala, Patrick Sweeney, and/or Lady Rich or are invited and encouraged to attend.

Cost for seven-day retreat: $250 plus teaching gift.
Cost for Parinirvana day only: $50 plus teaching gift.
Daily cost of retreat other than parinirvana day $35 per day or portion of day plus teaching gift. (Housing at Pullahari is available at additional cost on a first registered first served basis)

Additional Information

Housing is available on a limited basis at Pullahari Retreat Center on a first-request first-serve basis. Cost is $25 per night and up, depending upon level of accommodation. Requests will be fulfilled according to the date of email request or phone registration and housing request. Participants are also allowed to bring their own tents ($10 per day housing fee), and there are also several Pullahari-owned tents available ($15 per day housing fee).

Pullahari Retreat Center will not be arranging any outside housing. If you stay off-land, either by choice or because Pullahari is filled to capacity, you will need to make your own arrangements. We will connect registrants with each other to facilitate shared housing upon request.
